Project Manager

Val brings extensive experience in architectural project management, leading retail and hospitality developments valued at more than $100 million from early planning through construction completion. Her leadership is defined by a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach that balances design intent, regulatory requirements, and client objectives while keeping projects moving forward.

Val oversees all phases of project delivery, including zoning, permitting, and construction administration, ensuring strict compliance with authority requirements and environmental regulations. She also develops architectural service proposals and guides the procurement of engineering and consulting services, helping clients establish best-value partnerships that align with project goals and support successful project outcomes.

With a strong focus on risk management and cost control, Val carefully evaluates design-driven change order requests and provides data-driven recommendations that protect budget integrity and reduce overall project costs. She serves as a key liaison between clients, engineers, and construction teams, proactively resolving design challenges, streamlining approvals, and expediting procurement and the delivery of long-lead items.

Val also prepares and presents strategic reports, including Design Review Committee findings, Letters of Intent, zoning due diligence assessments, and feasibility studies, providing executive stakeholders with clear visibility into project progress and enabling the early identification of schedule and financial risks. In addition, she is passionate about developing future industry leaders and has mentored a team of eight junior architectural professionals in consultant management, interdisciplinary coordination, and quality assurance practices, fostering high-performing teams and a culture of collaboration and excellence.
