Project Overview:

Miami Worldcenter has a unique aesthetic character, formed by an art committee that spearheads the creation of public site-specific installations for all to enjoy. Renowned curators Jeffrey Deitch and Primary join the heads of local museums as part of this committee, working with both rising talent and world-famous artists to invigorate Miami Worldcenter’s spaces. We have invited artists and galleries that were foundational to the formation of the Downtown area’s art scene to join us in creating an exceptional public gallery experience.

Square Edge’s Role

Square Edge served as the project manager for the Miami Worldcenter Public Art Program, overseeing all aspects of execution for one of South Florida’s most expansive public art initiatives. Working closely with curators Jeffrey Deitch and Primary Projects, Square Edge coordinated a wide range of responsibilities including artist management, installer oversight, transportation logistics, insurance compliance, and budget control for a $5 million art portfolio. The firm acted as the central point of contact between the developer, curatorial teams, and artists, ensuring each installation aligned with the aesthetic vision and cultural goals of the Miami Worldcenter district. By managing both the technical and creative elements of the program, Square Edge helped transform a complex development site into an accessible and vibrant public art destination.
